Then one of us ask for directions like
"Excuse me, do you know where the-"

There are two main reasons this stood out to me when I first heard it. One is the storytelling aspect, which, mixed with the slower flow from Wayne, made it easier to follow what he was talking about. The second is the sudden violence at the end that ends up changing whatever your first impression of the story may have been.
It starts off with a description of a normal day in the life of Weezy. The only thing missing is the sugar with the coffee. Basically it's a reminder of the cycle of grind and reward that keeps a man honest. It quickly takes a more sinister turn when he starts describing the other activities he and his friends get up to. I can only speak for myself here, but the whole thing played out like a movie in my mind, and the ending was as much of a shock as it must have been for the person in the story. Actually, now that I think about it, since they pull up when "y'all deep" there's definitely more than one body dropping. Wayne with the high score again 🙌
All around this is just some great fuel for the imagination.
