BRRRAT

For whatever reason, I'm usually sleeping on this song until it gets to this section and then I'm all hype again. I've actually been sitting on it for a while because I couldn't figure out what it was that made it stand out to me so much. I'm still not really sure I can explain it, but I might as well try.

I think there's a technical proficiency on display here, which can be seen in the way he keeps on tempo by keeping a strict syllable count. If I'm counting right, the first five lines all have 14 syllables, and then he pushes the next three up to 15. I assume he's not actually counting syllables as he goes, which means he has some innate ability to read the beat and match it without any pauses or fillers. Having said that, I can't figure out why he went up to 15, or why it still sounds like it fits perfectly. Also, I'm no expert on the subject, so maybe it's not even all that impressive, but it is to me in this moment.

Anyway, let's look at some of the actual lyrics. The mint condition line is a common motif for Wayne, implying that he's never bothered no matter how bad his situation may get, and the next line gives a possible reason why. The money that keeps flowing in can improve any situation, and it only gets better with the removal of his enemies. Also, given how good Wayne's own intro tracks are, the demo line feels super effective.
