I'm going a bit longer today because C5 deserves it. These bars (and this whole track, really) are one big testament as to why Wayne is the spirit of rap personified. There's no need for complex rhyme schemes, or esoteric vocabulary, or tongue-twisting speed (or sales ðŸ˜). With just a little bit of wordplay, he leaves no doubt as to where he stands relative to any competition. A key lime is some good weed, tea time is dainty and delicate, honey is sweet, a bee hive is violent, and the bullet hole in your head will look like a third eye. The C5 line might be the slickest shit he's ever recorded, I can't even.
The second half is just murder. No one will be off limits. There's literally nowhere else to go and nothing else to say beyond that. Except if you know the song and what comes right after, you know that he goes into demon mode. I've been listening to rap for 25 years and no one else has even come close to that level of energy. OK maybe a few come close. On a final note, the way he lines up his cadence and flow to this beat in particular is just perfection.
