When it's slow I'm on top
I'm stored up and stocked

I'm waaay up
But I'm sure you not shocked

Cuz you know how I rock
And you know that it's cocked

The .44 with the dot
I'm a pro with the glock

Don't you go to the cops
Or your throat gon get chopped

Then your folks gon get got
Then your ho gon get shot

I wanted to do this song for a while, but for some reason it was hard to find the right bars to highlight. Something about the "no snitching" message happened to catch my ear recently though, and all of a sudden this whole bit turned to flame. I also started to think about what effects the lean might have on Wayne's content or style, like maybe the times where he's extra violent are when the syrup is doing its work. If there's a song where the drink influence is extra prevalent, it has to be this one.

To be honest, the results are inconclusive. Content wise, he touches on most of his usual topics but with more emphasis on the drink. The main thing that stands out is that it sounds like he's limited to a certain threshold of syllables per second, and doesn't reach beyond it. He seems aware of this, and acknowledges the fact that he feels he's "on top" when the lean slows him down. Maybe if it weren't for the cup he'd be too fast for anyone to follow.
