Bars like this give me strength. You could say it's just standard braggadocio, but the way Wayne believes in himself makes most other people look like it's their first day of school in a new country. Then at some point you realize he's not wrong. The bungee cord image is still, at least to me, one of his most evocative and appropriate. In the few years before his forced hiatus, anyone and everyone who even knew the word rap felt his influence, and if he had let go, a whole lot of people would not have come up.
The follow-up is another of his closing statements to anyone who might consider posing a threat to him. As per the tattoos on his eyelids, he fears only God, and any earthly thing that stands in his way will be dealt with using earthly means. With extreme prejudice. And I believe it. And hopefully the courts don't 🙏
