I'm hustlin baby
All my money - I custom made it

Numbers don't lie
But people do
That's why they turn they back on you like 180
Degrees

Please
I run with Gs
They got my back
Or front me some keys

I smell a rat
They stunk up the streets
Now my peeps bout to come with them pumps
Like Febreze

Joog in a hundred degrees
Joog in a cold winter breeze
There's yayo almost to my knees
I play in the snow til I freeze

She play with the snow til she sneeze
She way up - she in the nosebleeds

We breakin yo door for them keys
And you lay on yo floor til we leave

Hit a Joog

One of my favorite things about Wayne's lyrics is that a lot of what he says is usually code for something else. Unfortunately, sometimes that means I'll have no idea what he's actually talking about. This song in particular was a bit of a mystery to me for a long time. It was still fire, but I knew I wasn't getting the full impact of most of the lines. So, I want to go through some of it now and see if I can explain parts of it to my past self.

The first line here is key. The song is about hustling and making money. Specifically it's about making money by selling product. The answer to "what product?" is hidden in all the snow imagery in the second half of the snippet. I guess "yayo" isn't really all that hidden, but I think my point still stands. First, he establishes that he puts in work no matter the weather, and then gives you an idea of how much of that work he has lined up.

I think the best example of him speaking in code is the nosebleeds line. On the surface, he's talking about being high up in the nosebleed seats at a sporting event. The actual purpose of the line though is to illustrate just how "up" she is from playing with the "snow" to the point where her nose actually starts bleeding.

A couple other clever lines: got my back/front me some keys, numbers don't lie/180 degrees, door/keys.
