Another rare Wayne voice, and one of my new favorites. Raspy Wayne doesn't seem to appear too often, but can always be immediately associated with incoming heat. It even sounds musical enough to go acapella for a few seconds to make it stand out. Almost like whoever was mixing it figured the best thing to emphasize Wayne's lyrics would be silence. Respect.
One thing I notice often with Wayne's lyrics is that text alone never seems to do his bars justice unless you already have the beat and his flow in mind. Like looking at a still photo instead of a full movie. I guess the clearest example of that here would be the fact that he makes "maneuver" and "connoisseur" rhyme with "got a crew of" and "y'all newer" and I don't know if it's possible to see that just from reading the text. Need some of that rhyme highlighter.
